For this week, I am going to try different foods that I have not tried. I am not a very picky eater and am going to eat a variety of foods, critiquing them.
My first critique is going to be about a burrito and guacamole from Chipotle. This is a Mexican chain in Rochester. I ordered a barbacoa burrito with Fajita vegetables, rice, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. First off, what a huge burrito. I only finished half of it, and I rarely have a difficult time finishing my plate. The vegetables were fresh and the barbacoa was definitely an interesting change. The burrito was thin but tasted excellent. They do not skimp on any of the ingredients either. You get all of the flavors with every bite.
One comment I do have to make was about the specific store I went to. My personal service was less than impressive. On the website when you order, which I do at every opportunity I can, it says to go right to the register and skip the line. Everyone who was in line when I got there went before me. The woman at the register was not very pleasant when I tried to get her attention that I had an order for pick up and then seemed like I was a nuisance when I asked her about my extra guacamole. Luckily, the quality of the food made up for her lack of customer service. I would definitely go there again if I am in the mood for some Mexican.
If any of you are looking for some Mexican, here is the website to see if there is a Chipotle near you!

I haven't really tried them, but like Baja Fresh quite a bit. Gonna check them out based on what you say and we'll see how they fare.
ReplyDeleteThere are no Chipotle's near me, but that sounds tasty! I love making tacos at home. My boyfriend and I have been having chicken tacos with ground chicken. It's a little bit healthier than ground beef and I think it tastes better too!
ReplyDeleteI've been there a couple times and love their food. Sorry the service wasn't the best. Have you tried Taco del Mar? They're very similar but I think Chipotle has slightly better food.
ReplyDeleteChristina, I would love to try chicken tacos! We make buffalo chicken casadillas last week which were amazing, but but Buffalo sauce on anything and I love. I was watching tv today and saw that lobster actually has less calories and fat than chicken, I would be interested to maybe try those (when I feel like splurging on Lobster).
ReplyDeleteBryan, I have not tried Taco del Mar. I have never heard of it. Where are you?
