Garbage Plate

I have officially gotten to the worst food your body can take.  I had a garbage plate today, and I am going to say I did it for the blog because it was originated in Rochester and if any of you are ever in this area, don't leave before you get one.  Would you ever leave Philly without getting a cheesesteak?  So if any of you are wondering, a garbage plate is all the fast food and junk food piled on top of each other.  There are 2 choices for meat, burger or hot dog.  Being in Rochester, you can get a white hot dog if you want.  Then you can either have mac salad, french fries, home fries, or baked beans.  Then they have a meat hot sauce which is outstanding and you can get any of the regular condiments, ketchup, mustard, onions, relish, pickles.  It is all put together and you just dig in!  The original garbage plate was made by Nick Tahoe, which is my favorite place to get it.  There have many who have copied, but no one is as great as the original!  If you do find yourself wandering in for the first time, be ready with what you want.  They have no patience and are not the nicest people you will ever meet.  It is part of the charm.
Hopefully I have brought them a few new customers!

Bill Gray's Worlds Greatest

Well I keep getting healthier!
My colleague had a coupon for a $6 meal from Bill Grays.  They claim to be the world's greatest cheeseburger.  While they are amazing, that is stretching it.  Also, you really have to make sure you go at the right time.  They are pretty quick, but once a line forms, you will be there a while.  The burgers are much better than wendys or mcdonalds, but only because I love mushrooms on it.  I add the grilled mushrooms and onions to the burger and I am in heaven.
If you couldn't tell, food makes my day.

Let me know what you think of Bill Gray's in comparison to other burger joints!

Wendy's Taco Salad

Alright, well some people might not have a chipotle near them, but EVERYONE has a Wendy's.  I think that one of my favorite down fall is a Wendy's Taco Salad (technically it is now a Baja salad, but I still call it a taco salad).  The chili is awesome and the taste of the freshness of the lettuce with the warmth of the chili makes my day.  I have officially cut myself to a half size salad and eat something else with it to make it a little more healthy.  Let me know if you enjoy it!

Chipotle: Mexican Grill

For this week, I am going to try different foods that I have not tried.  I am not a very picky eater and am going to eat a variety of foods, critiquing them.
My first critique is going to be about a burrito and guacamole from Chipotle.  This is a Mexican chain in Rochester.  I ordered a barbacoa burrito with Fajita vegetables, rice, cheese, sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.  First off, what a huge burrito.  I only finished half of it, and I rarely have a difficult time finishing my plate.  The vegetables were fresh and the barbacoa was definitely an interesting change.  The burrito was thin but tasted excellent.  They do not skimp on any of the ingredients either.  You get all of the flavors with every bite.
One comment I do have to make was about the specific store I went to.  My personal service was less than impressive.  On the website when you order, which I do at every opportunity I can, it says to go right to the register and skip the line.  Everyone who was in line when I got there went before me.  The woman at the register was not very pleasant when I tried to get her attention that I had an order for pick up and then seemed like I was a nuisance when I asked her about my extra guacamole.  Luckily, the quality of the food made up for her lack of customer service.  I would definitely go there again if I am in the mood for some Mexican.

If any of you are looking for some Mexican, here is the website to see if there is a Chipotle near you!
